Updates

Hi guys! I hope everyone is having a wonderful vacation and had a smooth trip home. I just wanted to add some updates. First, Dr. Geoffrey Sharp will be giving a lecture on January 25th 2008 at 4:30-5:30pm. The room will most likely RF 122 but we'll post up the flyers soon and closer to the date with the exact room. He will speak more about type II diabetes and treatments and there will also be refreshments provided. Meanwhile, Ruibing will be posting a powerpoint presentation which will give a more general overview of diabetes. Additional resources can be found at: www.joslin.org and diabetes.org/home.jsp.
I also wanted to update on the new club positions. In the past semesters the officer positions were:

President/Chairperson: Jennifer Wu (Founder)
Vice President: Jun Yu
Treasurer: Ruibing Wang
Secretary: Allison Yu
Advisor: Ralph Obendorf

but since I have graduated, the new board has been selected:

President/Chairperson: Jun Yu
Vice President: Kartoa Chow
Treasurer: Ruibing Wang
Secretary: Erica Lee
Advisor: Ralph Obendorf

With this new board, I'm sure we can look forward to many more collaborations, T-shirt designs, events and new speakers. We'll keep you posted.
